A job search feels easier when you decide up front what you are looking for and keep notes on what you have already done.

1. Write your goal in two or three sentences

Note what kind of work you want to do, in what environment and under which conditions (for example working hours, location, remote work). This note helps you judge job ads quickly later on.

2. Use several search terms

The same role often has different names in job ads. Collect job titles, technical terms and tools that keep appearing in suitable ads, and search for them one after another.

3. Read job ads carefully

  • Separate must-have requirements from the employer's nice-to-haves.
  • Note which tasks appeal to you most.
  • Check how and by when you should apply.

4. Keep a simple list

For each application, record: company, position, date, contact person if named, next step. That way you always know where to follow up.

5. Search regularly, but in moderation

Fixed times, such as twice a week, often work better than browsing every day. You can find new jobs at any time in the RyhJobs job search.
